Single-Industry Towns Development Fund has summed up the national quest “Walk the City”, under which, with participation of Google, over 4,000 new objects have been inserted on Russian online maps. Naberezhnye Chelny was awarded an honorary diploma of the project. According to the Fund, interest in this single-industry town by potential tourists using online maps has grown by 16%.

The results of survey on effectiveness of the activities of the heads of local governments and organizations providing services to the population for 2019 are summed up. 10.6 thousand people from all municipalities of the republic took part in it. The vast majority of respondents have been living in Tatarstan for more than 10 years (84.7%).

In 2020, the Republic of Tatarstan will send at once several applications for co-financing the construction of the infrastructure of single-industry towns to the Single-Industry Towns Development Fund. This was announced by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov during a teleconference dedicated to the discussion of regional projects implemented with support of the Fund.

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) has determined the list of finalists of the All-Russian contest of best socio-economic practices for development of entities.

This year, a list of small and medium-sized enterprises with the status of a social enterprise will be formed in Russia. This list may include organizations that meet the conditions specified in Art. 24.1 of the Federal Law No. 209-FZ of July 24, 2007 “On Development of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Russian Federation”.

At the end of 2019, the Innovation Support Fund supported 119 grant applications from small and medium-sized entrepreneurs of Tatarstan. The total amount of grants for approved projects is 648.5 million rubles, which is almost 2 times more than in 2018.

The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) is the premier international competition for students who own their business while continuing to study at a college or university.

The contest “Social Entrepreneur” is the key mechanism of the “Our Future” Fund for selection of projects that receive financial support in the form of interest-free loans from 2 to 40 million rubles with possibility of deferred payments. Over the 12 years of the Fund’s existence, 254 projects from 58 regions of Russia were supported for a total of 653.2 million rubles. In 2019, 3 projects from the Republic of Tatarstan attracted more than 6 million rubles.

The Single-industry Towns Development Fund will finance the construction of off-site networks for the future wholesale distribution center “Elabuga” of X5 Retail Group in the Republic of Tatarstan. The allocated funds will amount to almost 150 million rubles.

Ozon, the country's largest multi-category Internet site and the largest network of parcel terminals, for the first time in Russia, installed parcel terminals in the subway. Two automated Ozon delivery points appeared at the Yashlek and Ametyevo stations in Kazan. It is planned to establish parcel terminals at 80% of the Kazan metro stations in the coming quarter. It should be noted that in large cities of countries where e-commerce is much more developed than in Russia, for example, in Hong Kong, London, New York, there are no parcel terminals in the subway.
