As part of implementation of the State Plan for Management Training in Tatarstan, selection of candidates for training in the 2019/2020 academic year (Presidential Program) has been announced.

The Republic of Tatarstan made a proposal to extend the preferential tax regime for residents of special economic zones of a technology-innovative type and to establish a rate for insurance premiums reduced to 14% for companies. The initiative was presented at a meeting of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, held on January 15 in Moscow as part of the Gaidar Forum 2020.

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives has opened a second selection of city teams and projects in acceleration program for development of urban communities for their active involvement in the process of changing cities for the better “100 City Leaders”. Applications are accepted until February 17 at the crowd-funding platform 100gorodov.ru

The agency fixed the interest rate for standard guarantee products: 1% - for credit agreements and 0.5% - for bank guarantee agreements.

The XI Gaidar Forum “Russia and the World: Challenges of the New Decade” will be launchedk on January 15 at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. It is expected that the forum will bring together about five thousand representatives of science and politics, financial circles and the business elite from Russia, Europe, America, and China.

The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has made changes to the program of preferential lending implemented in the framework of the national project “Small and medium-sized enterprises and support of individual entrepreneurial initiative”.

On December 15, 2019, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives of Russia launched in a test mode the Smarteka platform for exchange of sustainable development practices. The project is aimed at improving the living conditions of the population and accumulates effective managerial, social and economic practices from leading regions on one platform, which can be replicated to other constituent entities of the federation.

Alevtina Kudryavtseva, Honored Economist of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Buryatia and the Russian Federation, Honored Machine Engineer of TASSR, Director of the State Budgetary Institution “Center for Economic and Social Research of the Republic of Tatarstan under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan” was awarded the medal “For Contribution to Economic Development of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

The Government of the Russian Federation approved a plan for implementation of the Spatial Development Strategy for the period up to 2025. This was reported on the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation.

The corresponding Decree on simplification of conditions for companies that claim to become residents of TASED was signed by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at the end of December 2019. The document provides for the reduction of threshold requirements for the minimum amount of capital investments of a potential resident from 50 million to 20 million rubles, at least 2.5 million rubles of which should be investments of the first year of the project. At the same time, a prerequisite is still the creation of new jobs - at least 15 (instead of 30, as it was before).
