The corresponding decision at the republican level was made on July 11, 2020 within the framework of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 574. According to the Resolution, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs operating in the sectors of the Russian economy that are most affected by the spread of a new coronavirus infection, while carrying out an excisable activity can apply for subsidies from the Republic of Tatarstan budget.

More than 40 social entrepreneurs took part in the event.

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with sectoral ministries and municipalities, is working to form a forecast of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2021-2023.

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan held a traditional weekly meeting on topic: “On implementation of the Action Plan to ensure the sustainable development of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in the context of a worsening situation due to the spread of a new coronavirus infection”. The event was held in the videoconference mode under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov. Members of the working group on ensuring sustainable development of the economy of the Republic, all municipalities of Tatarstan, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and departments took part.

The Entrepreneurship Support Fund subordinated to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan has issued 297 microloans worth over 494 million rubles. Half of the issued loans are for the “1%” microloan - a support program available to entrepreneurs whose activities are not attributed to the sectors of the economy affected by the pandemic. It should be noted that the volume of loans issued has doubled compared to the same period last year. In the first half of 2019, the Fund issued 156 microloans.

Tatarstan is recognized as the best among the regions according to the National rating of the state of investment climate of Russian regions. Agency for Strategic Initiatives presented the results of the rating for the end of 2019. Let us recall that the rating results evaluate the efforts of regional authorities to create favorable conditions for doing business over the past year. The first position this year was taken by the metropolitan region of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tatarstan retained the best result among non-capital entities of the country.

The contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises to the gross regional product of Tatarstan following the results of 2019 amounted to 26.1%. One of the main tools for maintaining positive dynamics in the growth of the share of participation of SMEs in the republic’s GRP is the implementation of federal and regional measures to support entrepreneurship. Today, at the expense of the federal and republican budgets, businesses have already received support in the amount of over 25 billion rubles, excluding tax and banking holidays, and restructuring.

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has prepared a report on results of activities of special economic zones for 2019. Two special economic zones of Tatarstan are recognized as efficiently functioning. These are Innopolis and Alabuga.
