Restoration of economic stability of enterprises and organizations of the republic was discussed at a meeting at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan held a traditional weekly meeting on topic: “On implementation of the Action Plan to ensure the sustainable development of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in the context of a worsening situation due to the spread of a new coronavirus infection”. The event was held in the videoconference mode under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov. Members of the working group on ensuring sustainable development of the economy of the Republic, all municipalities of Tatarstan, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and departments took part.

Before moving on to the agenda, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov noted that by the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 980of July 4, the rules for providing funds to regions to support employment were approved. More than 4 billion rubles have been allocated for the implementation of additional measures aimed at reducing tension on the labor market of the country’s constituent entities, including more than 133 million rubles for the Republic of Tatarstan. Thanks to federal support, Tatarstan will be able to compensate employers for the costs of partial wages of employees when organizing public works for them or temporary employment at an enterprise.

Within the framework of the meeting, they discussed the work of the branch ministries in the supervised industries, as well as the restoration of economic stability of enterprises and organizations of the republic in the current conditions and measures necessary to improve their financial and economic indicators.

So, in order to improve the financial and economic indicators in the field of the agro-industrial complex, the Ministry of Agriculture is working to stimulate the purchase of high-tech machinery and equipment by agricultural producers. A favorable investment environment has been created in the republic for the agro-industrial complex, which makes it possible to implement large investment projects and introduce modern technologies. Maintaining the growth rate of agricultural products, intensive construction of modern high-tech livestock complexes, including robotic ones, is underway.

In turn, the construction industry is one of the drivers of economic growth. The industry did not stop its activities, and in January-May 2020, the volume index in comparable prices of the corresponding period of the previous year is growing at the level of 105.3%. The Ministry of Construction continues to work on development and support of large infrastructure investment projects in order to create points of growth in the construction sector, reduce the cost of construction and connect engineering infrastructure, as well as “import substitution” in the construction industry.

As part of the meeting agenda, members of the working group discussed the activities of enterprises and organizations of the republic on the platform of the Republican Marketing Center and heard the representatives of the Zelenodolskiy and Bugulminskiy districts with reports on implementation of measures to ensure the restoration of employment and incomes of the population, economic growth and long-term structural changes, as well as proposals for the formation of a forecast socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2021-2023.
