Tatarstan Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov spoke at the annual seminar-meeting on the development of competition in the republic. In his theses, he noted Tatarstan's leadership in many macroeconomic indicators, as well as the attention of the republic's leadership to issues of increasing competition to ensure the growth of the republic's economy. 

The final meeting of school business companies, which brought together 120 young entrepreneurs from different parts of the republic, was the culmination of a long-term effort to create business projects among schoolchildren.

A large-scale celebration of the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship will be held in Tatarstan. Various activities and educational programs are provided for businesses and residents of the republic. Tatarstan citizens are also invited to join the All-Russian #thanksSME. The initiative has been implemented within the framework of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" for the 3rd year in a row. 

Today, a zonal seminar-meeting was held in the Mamadyshsky municipal district, dedicated to the development of SMEs and increasing the business activity of the rural population. Oleg Pelevin, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, made a presentation.

In the first quarter of 2025, state-owned companies increased the volume of purchases of goods and services from small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to 1.8 trillion rubles. Tatarstan was among the leaders in terms of trade turnover between the public sector and SMEs.

The Republic of Tatarstan is accepting applications from veterans of the Special Military operation (SMO) and their family members for the third stream of free entrepreneurial skills training. The first two courses included 75 participants. The event is held within the framework of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".

The number of self-employed citizens has increased in Tatarstan - in January-April of this year, the number of citizens using the professional income tax in the republic increased by 8.3% and amounted to 386,957 people. 

A zonal seminar-meeting on increasing the business activity of the rural population of Tatarstan was held in Chistopol. Oleg Pelevin, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke at the meeting.

Gulnaz Ismagilova, Deputy Minister of Economy of Tatarstan, joined a press conference today with a report on updates to the Verified Business Internet resource and the creation of a personal assistant for entrepreneurs using artificial intelligence algorithms on its basis, which will help businesses prepare for inspections and other supervisory measures. 

Within the framework of the XVI  International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum", Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov took part in a number of business meetings of Sheikh Ibrahim bin Khalifa Al Khalifa: with Emin Agalarov and representatives of VEB.RF and Gazprombank.
