Brands from Tatarstan can make themselves known at the federal level

The acceptance of applications for the third season of the domestic brand competition "Know our People" has started. Every year, the republic is noted as the region that most actively supports its brands. Last year, 1.5 thousand republican projects were submitted to the contest from Tatarstan, and the new national hero Tugan Batyr became one of the winners in the Animation nomination.

The organizers are the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Roscongress Foundation with the support of VEB.RF. 

The competition is aimed at developing promising Russian brands in the regions and meets the goals of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" to support domestic production. This year, the organizers plan to focus on supporting brands from small towns and localities. 

Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, whose companies demonstrate steady growth and a high degree of localization of production, can take part in the competition. Applications are accepted on the идея.росконгресс.рф/brand until May 15. 

There are five nominations in the third season of the competition: food, groceries, creativity, high technology and IT. Special nominations from partners are also provided.

The award ceremony will take place in July in Nizhny Novgorod as part of the Strong Ideas for a New Age forum. They will receive assistance in promoting on marketplaces and retail chains, access to training programs, individual consultations with business experts, membership in business associations, free participation in key events, as well as grant support.

Among the partners of the contest are Wildberries, OZON, Russian Post, Roskachestvo, Avtoradio and others. In 2025, their number will expand, including the Russian Export Center, which will help promote domestic brands in foreign markets.

Last year, more than 12 thousand applications were submitted to the competition, 1.5 thousand of them came from brands of the Republic of Tatarstan. Thanks to the support received, the winners' revenue increased by an average of 50 percent, and for some companies it even doubled or tripled.

Let us recall that the competition of domestic brands was launched in 2023 on behalf of the President of the country to promote and develop promising Russian brands.
