A workshop on Islamic (partner) financing products was held in Tatarstan
Within the framework of the workshop, experts and market players from 4 subjects of the Russian Federation — the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republic of Dagestan and the Chechen Republic — discussed topical issues on the development of the partnership finance experiment, which started on September 1, 2023.
The participants of the event shared their experience, outlined the current problems and challenges faced by the industry, and also presented the prospects for its further development.
"Work in the field of partner (Islamic) finance in the Republic of Tatarstan has been conducted for more than 15 years, successful experience in the implementation of individual projects has been accumulated. The adoption of the Federal Law on conducting an experiment on partner finance has significantly increased activity in this market. The results of the experiment depend on the effectiveness of our joint coordinated activities, it is important to combine efforts in this area, using the experience gained by all regions participating in the experiment," said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.
