Implementation of Islamic finance discussed in Tatarstan
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan-Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov spoke at the Plenum of mukhtasibs of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan in Almetyevsk.
"Our joint task is to inform the population about Islamic products, the possibility of obtaining them, as well as their full compliance with Sharia law," Midkhat Shagiakhmetov said.
Visiting Plenum of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan chaired by the Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Hazratasamigullin was held in the renovated Central Mosque of Almetyevsk. His deputies, kazis, as well as muhtasib imams from all over the Republic, heads of established structures and all areas of activity of the Duma of the Republic of Tatarstan took part.
Albert Dirzizov, Head of the Department for Interaction with Religious Associations of the Department of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan on Internal Policy Issues, Deputy General Director for Social Affairs of PJSC Tatneft Rustem Mukhammadiev, Mayor of Almetyevsk and Head of Almetyevsk district Timur Nagumanov also participated in the Plenum.
The main issue on the agenda was the implementation of Islamic (partner) finance in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Together with the Spiritual Administration of Muslims, before the beginning of the Plenum, a presentation of the products being sold was organized to familiarize and further inform about Islamic (partner) products.
To inform the population and purposefully target potential clients in the republic, together with the clergy and market participants, a single portal of Islamic finance has been created in four languages: Russian, Tatar, English and Arabic, which combines information and training materials and offers from market participants into a single digital space.
