A meeting of the heads of regions of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia was held at the SPIEF under the chairmanship of Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Maxim Oreshkin. Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke on behalf of Tatarstan. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.
The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan noted that the association, established in 2010, has proven to be an effective platform for sharing best practices and scaling up best practices.
Today, the AIRR includes 18 regions, which account for about a quarter of GDP and more than a third of all innovative products.
"In February, President Vladimir Putin approved an updated strategy for scientific and technological development. It involves strengthening the role of regions in the management of scientific and technological development," said Rustam Minnikhanov.
He stressed that in this regard it is important to collect all the best practices that have been developed in the regions today.
