Tatarstan accepts applications from businesses for the assignment of the status of a "social enterprise"

According to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, as of January 2024, almost 11 thousand social enterprises were registered in Russia. 188 of them operate in the Republic of Tatarstan. The status of a "social enterprise" is accompanied by a whole range of government support programs, including in the form of grants. 

Now the My Business Center of the Republic of Tatarstan is accepting applications for the assignment of the status of a "social enterprise". Entrepreneurs who employ mainly citizens from socially vulnerable categories can receive this status, or such entrepreneurs sell goods (works, services) produced by such citizens, or sell goods (works, services) for such citizens, as well as those engaged in socially useful activities, primarily providing recreation, health improvement and development of children, engaged in cultural and educational activities and others.

The status of a "social enterprise" gives access to a range of support measures implemented within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Enterprises": subsidies and grants, concessional financing, specialized educational programs, property support, including rental of state and municipal property on preferential terms. 

Thus, a social business can receive a grant of up to 500 thousand rubles (up to 1 million rubles for the Arctic zone) for business development and preferential financial support of up to 5 million rubles at 4.5% per annum.

It is necessary to confirm the status of a social entrepreneur annually.
