The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan discussed the development of partner (Islamic) financing
Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a meeting together with representatives of credit and financial organizations working within the framework of partner financing and representatives of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The meeting discussed systemic issues, the progress of the experiment, the action plan for the development of partnerships (Islamic finance), the upcoming KazanForum-2024, the development of a unified information portal of Islamic finance http://ifhub.ru /.
The Minister informed that two more companies were among the participants in the partnership financing experiment. Nurfinance LLC and Miras Financial Company LLC are included in the register of participants in the partner financing experiment. To date, 20 organizations are participating in the Islamic banking experiment, 16 of which operate in the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the meeting, he listened to market participants about the results of activities, financial products being sold, transactions on operations, current issues and development prospects within the framework of the experiment.
The meeting also discussed the organization and holding of events dedicated to partner financing within the framework of the forum. Financial and credit organizations working within the framework of partner financing will be presented at the stand of the Republic of Tatarstan dedicated to the topic of partner (Islamic) financing. In addition, the forum will host a panel session of the Bank of Russia "Partner Financing in Russia: new experience, first assessments" and a meeting of the Expert Council on conducting an experiment on partner financing under the Government of the Russian Federation.
Let us recall that on September 1, 2023, a two-year experiment on the introduction of partner (Islamic) financing began in four regions of Russia - Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Chechnya and Dagestan.
