Uzbek state holding "Uzkimesanoat" together with Tatarstan technopolis "Khimgrad" opened a technopark of the same name in the Uzbek city of Jizzakh on April 24. The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zhashmid Khodjaev and the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The creation of infrastructure for entrepreneurs corresponds to the goals of the national project "Small and Medium-sized entrepreneurship".

The Jizzakh Technopark is endowed with the status of a free economic zone. The territory of the Jizzax Plastmassa enterprise was chosen as the site for its creation.

Specialists of JSC "Khimgrad" have prepared a master plan of the site. It is planned to accommodate at least 36 resident companies with a total of 1,100 jobs and an investment volume of $ 60 million. The technopark is designed to localize the production of foreign companies on the territory of Uzbekistan and strengthen cooperation between Uzbek and foreign manufacturing companies. The site in Jizzakh has a comprehensive infrastructure. Residents are provided with land plots and premises on a lease/redemption basis.

Jizzakh is the second joint technopark of Tatarstan and Uzbekistan. The first technopark, Chirchik, was opened in 2022 in Chirchik. Today, it has already implemented 20 investment projects with an investment volume of 127 million dollars. There is an export of products to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
