The Government of the Russian Federation extends until the end of 2022 the possibility of obtaining financial support from the regional and municipal budgets for entrepreneurs who trade in excisable goods. The decision was made at the request of business representatives.
We are talking about cafes and restaurants that have suffered losses due to the situation with the coronavirus.
Previously, public catering, hotel and tourist services, whose activities are related to the sale of excisable goods, could not count on financial assistance from the state. But in the summer of 2020, during the spread of the pandemic, as part of a business support package, the Russian Government lifted this restriction. Now this decision has been extended until the end of 2022 and entrepreneurs can again count on financial support measures.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, since 2020, a program for subsidizing the costs associated with paying for services for the delivery of food and food has been operating for catering enterprises. Thanks to government decisions, over two years, the authorities of the republic supported more than 200 entrepreneurs from the catering sector, providing support in the amount of 76 million rubles.
The program has demonstrated high demand during the pandemic and restrictive measures, when the catering business was forced to sell products to end customers using delivery services. In connection with the preservation of a number of restrictions and a request from catering entrepreneurs, a decision was made in the republic to extend the program in 2022. The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan is working on the preparation of relevant legal documents.
