Self-employed people of Tatarstan earned more than 40 billion rubles

At the end of 2021, the number of people employed in the SME sector in the Republic of Tatarstan, including sole proprietors and self-employed, exceeded 780 thousand people. At the same time, the number of self-employed themselves has overcome the mark of 169 thousand. Along with the growth in the number of payers of the "Professional Income Tax" in the region, an increase in their gross total income was recorded – during the period of the special tax regime, the self-employed of Tatarstan earned 40.6 billion rubles.  

At the same time, due to the active growth of this category of entrepreneurs over the 3 years of the special tax regime in the republic, the issue of providing the self-employed with preferential financing and other support measures necessary for comfortable and confident business is one of the priorities of the national SME project.

For this purpose, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan launched a microloan "Self-employed". For citizens who meet the requirements of the program, up to 500 thousand rubles are available at 6% for a period of 3 to 24 months for any costs justified by borrowers necessary to carry out activities, the income from which is subject to the "Professional Income Tax". At the same time, the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan provides a guarantee in the amount of up to 50% of the amount of the microloan. In 2021, 85 self-employed people took advantage of such support for a total amount of more than 13 million rubles.

Last year, the Ministry developed a program of subsidizing self-employed citizens from the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan, as a result of which 305 individuals received gratuitous subsidies for doing business for a total amount of 50.0 million rubles.

In addition, Tatarstan self-employed people can receive information and consulting support in the My Business center and from the specialists of the Internet resource "Proven Business". Consultation is available on all issues related to the use of the application and the issuance of checks for transactions, the conclusion of an agreement with legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

Measures to support the self-employed are carried out within the framework of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative".

This year, access to preferential financial instruments will be maintained for payers of the "Professional Income Tax", the number of training programs will be increased, marketing support and support will be provided for the output of products of the self-employed of the republic to marketplaces. The implementation of support measures will create favorable conditions for the involvement of even more citizens in the legal business environment.
