A visiting working meeting of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia on Investment Activities in Russian Regions took place in Ufa. Establishment of a one-stop-shop system for investment project implementation. Issues of business development in regions were discussed, ligislative regulation of bank/entrepreneur interaction was considered, as well as the mechanisms for investment project implementation. In his message to the Federal Assembly, President of Russia Vladimir Putin mentioned, that increase in investments is one of the growth drivers for the Russian economy, and also pointed out a key problem for entrepreneurs, i.e. difficulties in access to financial resources. To settle this issue, an entire one-stop-shop system for investment project support is operational in Tatarstan. This enables improvement in Tatarstan investment appeal, and provides favourable conditions for operations, - Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Bulat Khaziakhmetov, said. At present, projects supported include that in the agriculture, industry, food product manufacturing, telecommunications, and house hold appliances. Step-wise investment project support mechanism includes selection of an optimum strategy to enter the market of the Republic of Tatarstan, selection of the most favourable solutions in terms of state support, tax exempts, project implementation sites, support in interaction with state departments and institutions as regards to preparation of the necessary documentary and legal base for the projects.
The Board of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia held a meeting today. Results of 2017 were summed up, plans for 2017 and the nearest future were dscussed. "The most important thing for the Ministry of Economic Development is investment. It is important to ensure that these huge opportunities, existing for business, become a real way for millions of people to make money", - noted the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
Development of infrastructure is a key issue in accelerating the economic growth of Russia, said the Head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia Maksim Oreshkin. Parliamentary hearings, where deputies and representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the republic with active participation of entrepreneurs discussed issues of development of small and medium businesses in Tatarstan, were held at the Small Hall of the State Council today.
The First Deputy Minister of Economy Rustem Sibgatullin presented the main report on the development of small and medium businesses in the Republic of Tatarstan. There are about 170 thousand SMBs in the republic, last year their total annual revenue reached RUR 1.7 trillion.
On March 29, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan will hold a meeting of the Commission under the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan on combating corruption. The meeting will review the progress of implementation of the state program "Implementation of the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2015-2020 years" in 2017.
Today the Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev and representatives of the non-profit organization "Fund of Development of Monotowns" visited Nijnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny. The Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev and the First Deputy Director of Fund of Development of Monotowns Sergey Karpov visited the Nizhnekamsk Industrial Park, scheduled to be commissioned at the end of this year, and the "Pioneer" industrial park.

The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia thinks that the approach of the Republic of Tatarstan to the development of industrial parks deserves multiplication as one of the best practices. The most comfortable conditions for creation and development of new productions for SMBs are provided in a particular territory. Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Director of the Department of Development of Entrepreneurship and Competition Rustem Sibgatullin shared experience in the creation of industrial parks in the republic. The meeting of the Commission for reviewing and approving events of the federal subjects of the Russian Federation, whose budgets are subsidized for state support of small and medium-sized businesses, including farms, as well as for implementation of measures of youth entrepreneurship support in 2018, was held in Moscow.
The first in Russia program for professional retraining of state and municipal officials of the Republic of Tatarstan "Strategic development of territories" was launched on the basis of the Higher School of State and Municipal Administration of the Kazan (Volga) Federal University. 30 state and municipal officials from different regions of the republics started training. The program was approved by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov and consists of 500 academic hours.
For convenience of entrepreneurs, the Ministry of Economy launched the republican public reception office with several communication channels. In addition to the hot-line and the citizen reception day, the Telegram messenger has been launched to talk to the Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev.
On March 23, speaking at the Switzerland-Tatarstan business forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a working visit in Geneva, said that Tatarstan is interested in attracting Swiss business and capital.
Welcoming the participants of the business forum, Minnikhanov thanked the representatives of the business circles for their interest shown to Tatarstan. He noted that Tatarstan delegation includes heads of ministries and departments of the republic, representatives of large enterprises. We expect that during the visit the business circles will open up new areas for cooperation and agree on joint projects, Tatarstan President added.
Minnikhanov noted that this forum is a good platform for discussing the state and prospects for the development of Tatarstan-Switzerland cooperation aimed at strengthening cooperation between Russia and Switzerland.
According to Tatarstan President, the Russian leadership headed by President Vladimir Putin elected last Sunday, looks forward for constructive work with foreign partners. "We must give the right signals to business at the regional level. We hope that this visit will give a new impetus to the development of cooperation between Tatarstan and Swiss companies,” Minnikhanov said.
He added that Tatarstan has considerable experience of cooperation with Switzerland. Many Swiss companies are doing business in the republic. Last year, the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Switzerland increased by 2 per cent to make 121.3 million US dollars.
On March 23, during his working visit to Switzerland, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Head of the Department of Economic Development of the canton of Valais Gilbert Loretan.
The canton of Valais is one of the dynamically developing regions of Switzerland. The canton features oil refining, aluminum, chemical, woodworking, pulp and paper branches of industry, ferrous metallurgy, engineering and production of mechanical equipment. Agriculture is an important sector in Valais, especially cattle breeding and dairy farming.
Lonza, the manufacturer of chemical products, is one of the largest companies in the canton. Today, it is one of the world's largest chemicals and biotechnology companies, manufacturing products for the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industries, and the healthcare sector. It has 40 factories and research units and serves 10 thousand companies in 30 countries. Lonza has its representation office in Moscow.
