On November 13 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in solemn foundation stone laying ceremony at “3M Volga” production complex at Special Economic Zone “Alabuga”.

Russian Deputy Minister of economic development Oleg Saveliev, Director General of ZAO “3M Russia” Timothy Allen Koenig took part in the event.

Anticorrosive materials, scotch tapes, abrasive materials, glass hollow microspheres that are used in oil and gas production that have been used by Russian oil and gas operators for 20 years will be manufactured at “3M Volga” plant. The plant’s produce will be sold in Russia and exported to CIS countries.

Director General of ZAO “3M Russia” Timothy Allen Koenig said that an American diversified company 3M has been invested 30 mln dollars in the plant at SEZ “Alabuga” for three years.

The plant at SEZ “Alabuga” will become the second 3M enterprise in Russia.

On November 12, 2013 in World Trade Center of Moscow the "Strategy of the Russian Business in the conditions of the WTO" conference took place. As the organizer of this action the Vedomosti newspaper with the assistance of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Russian union of industrialists and businessmen and World Trade Center acted. To performance and participation heads and representatives of the ministries of the Russian Federation, the Euroasian economic commission, the Russian branch unions and associations, and also heads and owners of business, the director and the staff of strategic departments and divisions on foreign economic activity, lawyers, consultants and analysts, experts in the field of international trade, business mass media were invited.

For implementation of the Federal law of 05.04.2013 No. 44-FZ "About contract system in the sphere of purchases of goods, works, services for ensuring the state and municipal needs" on November 13, 2013 in NIU "Higher School of Economics" (Moscow) will take place opened meeting of the working group of Advisory council at the Government of the Russian Federation concerning improvement of government procurements and the state investments. At meeting participation of representatives of executive bodies of the government and public organizations, experts, members of the working group of Advisory Council at the Government of the Russian Federation concerning improvement of government procurements and the state investments is planned. On November 11 at his meeting with Buryatia delegation led by Chairman of Buryatia Government Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Buryatia Republic has rich history, huge reserves of natural resources, and industrial enterprises.

In particular, he said that Buryatia helicopters that are in-demand at global market. Lake Baikal is one of the most famous heritage places in our country, he continued.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan and Buryatia are multi-ethnic republics where different nations live in harmony and peace. He thanked Buryatia leadership for kind attitudeу to Tatars living in the region, and creation of conditions for maintaining identity and culture of Tatar people.

Speaking about areas of potential cooperation, Rustam Minnikhanov said Tatarstan experience in IT sphere, implementation of projects “Open Tatarstan”, “Public control”, “Electronic Government”, development of innovative and industrial platforms may be interesting for Buryatia. Rustam Minnikhanov told in details about Special Economic Zone “Alabuga”.

Rustam Minnikhanov reminded about a big event that was held in Kazan this summer– 27th World Summer Universiade, and mentioned other coming sports events – World Aquatics Championship 2015, and World Football Cup 2018.
