Two clusters of Tatarstan construction industry are included in the Federal Register of industrial clusters

Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has approved inclusion of the Republic of Tatarstan construction cluster (initiator – “Suvar Development”) and construction technologies and materials cluster (initiator – “Ak Bars Development LLC”) in the Federal Register of industrial clusters by the Order #2789 of August 17, 2017.

“A big job has been done to prepare the application documentation package and ensure compliance of our clusters with industrial cluster status strict compliance requirements approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia,” noted Lenar Akhmetov, Head of “Kama center of cluster development,“ first and for most, this was the result of joint work of branch business community and interested ministries and departments of the Republic: Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

Inclusion of construction clusters in the Federal Register allows cluster participants to reimburse up to 50% of the costs related to implementation of cooperative (cluster) investment projects aimed at import substitution.

Currently, experts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has been examining applications for inclusion in the Federal Register of three more industrial clusters of the Republic of Tatarstan, among them are applications of machine- building cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kama machine-building industrial cluster and industrial cluster of medical instruments and equipment manufacturers of the Republic of Tatarstan. It should be added that cluster is the association of industrial enterprises having functional and territorial ties and carrying out activities in the allied industry. Economic effect from cluster’s creation intends strengthening the ties between products manufacturers, increase total added value, improvement quality of products and positive impact on the economy of the region. Cluster participants, in addition to manufacturing companies, are educational and scientific institutions, industrial infrastructure facilities, financial institutions, relevant ministries and departments and other interested organizations.
