A meeting on the furniture cluster issue was held in the SEZ "Alabuga"

The meeting of the work group of LLC "Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry" took place on July 4 on the issue of formation of a furniture (wood processing) cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan on the territory of the SEZ “Alabuga” with participation of representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and Association “The furniture cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

The meeting discussed the existing measures to support clusters. The leader of the   Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Kamsky Central Development Committee" - Lenar Akhmetov, told about the experience of submitting applications for the support programs for members of clusters guided by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. Currently the machine building, IT, food and construction clusters are actively operating in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The CEO of LLC "Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry" in the Republic of Tatarstan - Ali Kilych presented his vision of the functional chart and cooperative links inside the emerging industrial cluster, and also noted that the enterprises-participants of the cluster should join it on mutually beneficial terms.

As a result of the meeting it was agreed in principal to sign the Agreement on industrial activity between the ancor enterprise of the cluster LLC "Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry" and the specialized otganization, represented by the Association "the furniture cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan". The work on definition of new participants of the cluster, having close cooperative links, as well as development of the functional chart of the industrial cluster, will be continued.

Please remember, that in 2016 an active work on the formation of the furniture (wood processing) cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan commenced. To date, the Association "The furniture cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan" is activel working with potential participants of the cluster in preparing applications for the clusters' support programs guided by federal ministries.
