Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the launch of a new truffle production line in Naberezhnye Chelny

16 June 2017, Friday

Yesterday, June 15, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in Naberezhnye Chelny took part in the launch of a new truffle production line at Essen Production AG.

Rustam Minnikhanov personally got acquainted with the production and implementation of the company's investment project. The general director of the joint-stock company Leonid Baryshev told the President of the Republic that the idea of creating confectionery production in Chelny arose in 2011, at the same time was created an investment project worth 3.7 billion rubles. The adoption of such a strategic decision was prompted by the fact that with the exit of Ukraine a free segment was formed on the market. The political situation also played into the hands of specialists: in connection with the closure of the Donetsk chocolate factory, it was possible to attract their confectioners and technicians who brought to the auto-city experience of producing confectionery products.

It was decided in the company "Essen Production AG" that the production in Chelny should be the best, the most automated, and the candies the most delicious. High-tech equipment was purchased from Germany, Austria, Switzerland. In 2012, a confectionery factory was opened, now it has 5 lines. The last truffle production line was opened with the participation of the President of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov was shown the kitchen, where the chocolate mass is being prepared, and the line itself. The productivity of the line is one ton of sweets per hour, this is 91 thousand sweets. The company plans to reach a 100% load within three months. Human labour in the manufacture of truffles is minimized, only 4 people per shift work on the line (excluding maintenance personnel).

"One employee on the line will give the company turnover around 8 million rubles a year. This is the highest labour productivity in the confectionery industry. We hope that Naberezhnye Chelny will become the capital of confectionery production in Tatarstan," Leonid Baryshev assured.

The assortment of the factory today includes 47 items, presented in four product groups: sweets on waffle basis, fondant, jelly, milky candies, whipped sweets, crispy bars and straws, etc.

By the end of 2017, the confectionery factory "Essen Production AG" plans to expand the range of products and increase sales by 30%.
