Mr. Artem Zdunov made a report on the meeting of the Council of Nizhnekamsk Municipal Region

Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr. Artem Zdunov made a report on the session meeting in the city of Nizhnekamsk. He called the territory a competitive steadily developed region with powerful economy, comfortable social sphere and infrastructure.

The application for creating a Priority Social and Economic Development Area (PSED) is being prepared for improvement of investment attractiveness of the single industry city Nizhnekamsk. “But this is only half of the matter, the PSED should have investors as well “, - underlined Mr. Artem Zdunov and added that it was suggested to acquire this status not only for the city of Nizhnekamsk but Kama Polyany as well.

 

It is planned to implement the projects on creating industrial parks “Nizhnekamsk” and “Alabuga 2. Petrochemicals” in the region. The Minister of Economy asked to pay special attention on terms of documents’ preparation as well as on the quality of elaboration of investment projects of potential residents during preparing the application.

Alongside with implementation of major investment projects it is required to develop small and medium sized business. In 2016 the state support was offered to 5 regional subjects for the total amount 9, 9 mln RUB. Mr. Artem Zdunov remarked as well the new center of business support by calling it “the best in republic”.

The Minister paid attention to the fact that Nizhnekamsk did not have any youth innovative creativity center and called to take part in the competition for its creation, which was scheduled to be held in Tatarstan this year. At that Mr. Artem Zdunov remarked the work fulfilled for creation of child’s techno park Quantorium, which would be connected with petrochemical engineering center. The techno park will serve as a platform for exchanging experience with school children and students by students and specialists from industrial enterprises and research scientists.
