Free privatization of premises can be prolonged till March 1, 2017

On February 18, 2016 the Government of the Russian Federation has submitted for consideration of the State Duma the bill of extension of term of free privatization of premises.

Now according to the Housing code of the Russian Federation the possibility of privatization by citizens of premises stops since March 1, 2016. 

The bill offers to prolong free privatization of premises till March 1, 2017. It is connected with the fact that today not all citizens of the Russian Federation who are carrying out use of premises on the basis of contracts of social hiring have managed to use the right of free privatization. It is planned that this bill will be considered at a meeting of the State Duma on February 24, 2016.

We remind that in the Republic of Tatarstan paperwork by transfer of premises to property of citizens of the republic is carried out by local governments, and also through the multipurpose centers of providing the state and municipal services (MPC) placed in the municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
