The delegation from Tatarstan took part in opening of the VII Gaidar forum "Russia and the world: prospection"

Today the delegation from Tatarstan headed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in opening of the VII Gaidar forum "Russia and the world: prospection". 

The forum takes place on January 13-15 in Moscow, on a platform of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).

The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev made a welcome speech at plenary discussion of a forum. 

At the beginning of the performance Dmitry Medvedev noted that in the conditions of crisis reforms are necessary, and work on change of a tendency of falling of a standard of living of the population will be continued. According to him in economy of Russia positive tendencies are observed:
- Russia is included into ten the countries with the smallest public debt and the greatest gold and foreign exchange reserves;
- the banking sector works steadily;
- the budget is balanced despite outflow of an oil and gas rent;
- efficiency of some branches of economy of Russia, including agriculture, chemical industry and a machine-building complex increases.

Dmitry Medvedev also emphasized that implementation of industry plans for import substitution will be continued, but only the competitive companies will be supported. Summing up the result of the performance he noted that all called is only the first signs of adaptation of economy to crisis. And shift of structure of the federal budget towards prevalence of the income which isn't connected with oil and gas sector became the main outcome of last year.
