Tatarstan President meets with delegation of the Club of Leaders of Agency for Strategic Initiatives

On May 16, issues to improve the investment climate in Russia and Tatarstan were discussed at a meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with delegation of the Club of Leaders on promoting business initiatives of Agency for Strategic Initiatives at Tatarstan Government House.
Welcoming the delegation of businessmen, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked them for their visit to Kazan. “Improving the investment climate is our common task. If there is an appeal for the business, it will develop. And we should make decisions that will be comfortable for the business,” Tatarstan President said.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, businessmen should have authority in the society and support of the public authorities.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the regional leadership has been actively cooperating with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives under all programmes related to the improvement of the investment climate.
Among problems that hinder the development of business in Russia Tatarstan President pointed out plenty of regulatory bodies, often too strong requirements for businessmen. Rustam Minnikhanov is sure that the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, being the body chaired personally by Russian President, will successfully deal with these problems.
Chairman of the Club of Leaders Artem Avetisyan told Rustam Minnikhanov about the project “Test Purchases” that is being implemented by businessmen. The project presupposes “mystery” inspections of convenience and efficiency of the necessary control and registration procedures conducted by public authorities by entrepreneurs.
Reports on these "purchases" will be presented to the Russian President twice a year. Artem Avetisyan invited entrepreneurs from Tatarstan to participate in this project.
At the meeting, members of the delegation also suggested the regional leadership options for cooperation and initiatives to improve the investment attractiveness, invited representatives of Tatarstan to become members of various business delegations of the Club to study the experience of foreign countries to increase the investment attractiveness.
Rustam Minnikhanov supported initiatives and proposals and expressed his hope for their successful implementation.
Over the past year, small and medium-sized businesses in Tatarstan have raised about 280 billion rubles from the resources of the Republican Marketing Center (RMC). This is almost 18% more than in the same period last year. The number of entrepreneurs amounted to 4.8 thousand.
Today in Tatarstan, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, a meeting was held with business associations and public organizations of the republic dedicated to the adaptation of Tatarstan entrepreneurs to tax changes in 2026.
Tatarstan's small and medium-sized businesses have received a new tool for entering federal markets. A specialized service "Production cooperation and sales" of the SME.RF Digital Platform operates on the basis of the Republican Marketing Center (RMC RT), which will allow local producers to directly access the largest retail chains and private companies throughout Russia.
The KIEZ brand was founded in Tatarstan's Kukmor in 2016 as a small entrepreneurial project aimed at reviving interest in traditional footwear and adapting it to modern market demands. Today, thanks to state support, the company has managed to reach the level of more than 10,000 pairs of shoes sold per year.
