Russian Minister of Health full of impressions of her visit to Kazan

On May 14, Russian Minister of Health Verokina Skvortsova, who is on a working visit to Tatarstan, shared her impressions of her trip to Kazan.
Giving an interview to journalists, Head of Russian Minister of Health noted she had a very extensive programme in Kazan. A unique blood centre opened in Kazan in the morning with her participation. “We opened a remarkable blood centre, which is one of the best in the country. The centre, erected in 10 months, is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and has the best technologies,” she said.
“We have visited a polyclinic that has an entire consultation and diagnostics centre with very interesting approaches to healthcare informatization and electronic document processing. The interrelation between healthcare, educators, psychologists and social workers gives an opportunity, especially in the critical periods of childhood, to take an integrated approach to every child development and enables promoting such development,” the minister added.
The Minister visited a simulation center at the Kazan Federal University that is being implemented under a medical science centre project “Engineering Centre of Medical Simulators” ran by Eidos Company. Veronika Skvortsova believes that the center needs to supply equipment to each medical university in the country.
Veronika Skvortsova also took part in a solemn event dated to the 200 anniversary of Kazan State Medical University. “We are very impressed,” she said.
Speaking to journalists, Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, said that everything has done in Tatarstan healthcare system in recent years has become possible due to the support of the federal authorities.
Tatarstan President said he and Veronica Skvortsova had discussed the entire list of issues related to healthcare that the local authorities were concerned about.
As part of the program, the Minister visited the Arsky Industrial Park, where he got acquainted with the current activities and long-term plans of the residents. During the inspection of the production facilities, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a substantive discussion with the heads of enterprises on capacity expansion and improving the efficiency of using the existing infrastructure.
Applications for the Start-Digital Technologies-1 competition (turn 2) are being accepted on the website of the Innovation Promotion Foundation until February 24. Individuals and legal entities, small business entities, can participate in it.
Rustem Mukhamedshin, Director of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in a large–scale event - the strategic session of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan, which took place on January 30, 2026 in Kazan at the Entrepreneur's House.
