Powers to provide the stable development of monotowns were transformed to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation

By the Russian Federation government resolution from December 10, 2013 No. 1141 the power on coordination of activity of public authorities on providing the stable development of monoprofile settlements of the Russian Federation (monotowns) are transferred to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Earlier these powers were in the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation.
The federal list of monotowns nowadays includes 7 monotowns of the Republic of Tatarstan: Naberezhnye Chelny, Chistopol, Zelenodolsk, Mendeleevsk, Yelabuga, Nizhnekamsk and Kamsky Glades urban-type settlement.
As part of the program, the Minister visited the Arsky Industrial Park, where he got acquainted with the current activities and long-term plans of the residents. During the inspection of the production facilities, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a substantive discussion with the heads of enterprises on capacity expansion and improving the efficiency of using the existing infrastructure.
Applications for the Start-Digital Technologies-1 competition (turn 2) are being accepted on the website of the Innovation Promotion Foundation until February 24. Individuals and legal entities, small business entities, can participate in it.
Rustem Mukhamedshin, Director of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in a large–scale event - the strategic session of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan, which took place on January 30, 2026 in Kazan at the Entrepreneur's House.
