Manufacturers of medical equipment from Tatarstan received 32 million rubles of grant support

Two Republican companies became winners of the first stage of the Business Start program and received about 32 million rubles of state support for scaling up production and strengthening their positions in the market.

Both companies are engaged in the production of medical equipment. According to the results of the competition, NPO Medical Instruments LLC received a grant in the amount of 18 million rubles for the organization of mass production of import-substituting devices for the treatment of diaphyseal fractures of tubular bones with unique bioactive properties. 

As a result of the program, UNiO-Plus LLC received about 14 million rubles to develop the production of manual car control devices for people with disabilities with impaired functions of the musculoskeletal system.

In total, according to the results of the competitive selection of the first stage of the Business Start program, 32 small technology companies (STC) received grant support in the amount of 514 million rubles.

The Business Start competition is focused on the selection of innovative projects involving the creation, expansion and (or) modernization of production necessary for the serial production of innovative products, as well as their subsequent commercialization.

The event was initiated by the Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation under the federal project "Technologies", which is part of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".

The amount of support for competitions is up to 18 million rubles, subject to mandatory extra-budgetary co-financing. Applications from the STC under the first stage of the program were accepted from April 10 to May 26, 2025.

Tatarstan is among the top three regions in terms of the number of small technology companies (STCs). There are more than 200 STCs operating in the republic, which have access to a wide range of government support measures within the framework of assistance from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. Support is available in the form of preferential loans, microfinance, guarantees, leasing, as well as the services of the My Business Center.

Last year, 8 companies from Tatarstan became winners in the Business Start competition, receiving grant support from the state in the amount of 81 million rubles.
