Tax benefits for SEZ management companies extended in Tatarstan

A bill on amendments to the republican law on property tax was adopted at a meeting of the State Council. The law extends the validity period of the federal corporate property tax relief, and it also applies to management companies of technical and innovative special economic zones.

The tax relief will apply to real estate accounted for on the balance sheet of SEZ management companies. As the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov noted, presenting the bill, the preferential tax regime provides for the payment of tax in the amount of 4.55% of the calculated tax amount in the period from 2025 to 2028, as well as the payment of tax in the amount of 50% of the calculated tax amount in the period from 2029 to 2031.

Speaking with a co-report, State Council Deputy Dmitry Soluyanov noted that the grace period will be valid for several years, which will allow companies, on the one hand, to gradually adapt to new tax conditions, on the other, to optimize their financial costs and increase the investment attractiveness of special economic zones.

 "Ultimately, these measures will contribute to economic growth and increase the competitiveness of the national economy," the deputy said.
