The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, chaired by Natalia Kondratova, First Deputy Minister and Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Department, held a meeting to prepare a draft law of the Republic on amendments to the law "On the Development of Small and Medium-sized Businesses in the Republic of Tatarstan" regarding the definition of the legal status of artisans, the development and approval of a list of types of craft activities.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs under the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Tatcultresource Center, as well as public organizations.
Work on this issue is being conducted by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan on behalf of the Head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.
The key objective of the event was to define the concept of a "subject of handicraft".
The Deputy Minister noted that the adoption of relevant regulations makes it possible to successfully regulate this area and will create a legal basis for the activities of Tatarstan artisans, develop targeted measures of state support for this category of entrepreneurs, exempt artisan products from mandatory labeling, and preserve and develop traditional crafts as part of the cultural code of the republic.
During the meeting, the participants discussed in detail the possible areas of activity of representatives of handicrafts and outlined the further stages of the development of the draft law.
