Midkhat Shagiakhmetov participated in a session on the National Model of targeted business conditions

4 September 2025, Thursday

Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the session "National Model: Improving Russia's Business Climate and Investment Development of the Regions of the Far East."

The event was dedicated to the introduction of the National Model of Targeted Business Conditions, a new system of guidelines for the development of a favorable investment climate in the country.

Let us recall that after the World Bank's Doing Business rating was discontinued, Russia needed its own, even more comprehensive assessment system. On behalf of the President of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development and ASI, together with business associations, are developing it.

The Republic of Tatarstan has not only become one of the four pilot regions where ASI conducted a study of business conditions, but has already approved its own roadmap for achieving key indicators of the National Model.

Midhat Shagiakhmetov noted: "Tatarstan's experience as one of the leaders in the quality of the investment climate is important for the regions. We are ready to share best practices in areas such as business registration, infrastructure connectivity, and real estate management, where our practices are recognized as effective. At the same time, we are focusing on new challenges — the development of financial services, simplification of procedures for the investment and construction cycle, etc."

In addition, within the framework of this session, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held meetings with Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, and Deputy Chairman of the State Development Corporation VEB.RF Murat Kerefov.
