The volume of trade turnover between Russia and China in the field of intellectual property exceeded $ 800 million
Agreements on further digitalization and the development of joint projects in the field of intellectual property were reached at the III ROSTKI International Forum.
The results and decisions on the prospects of cooperation were discussed at events organized with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. Within their framework, agreements were reached in the field of intellectual property, science and innovation.
During the events, the speakers noted that Russian-Chinese cooperation is characterized by high dynamics, becoming the center of new scientific, technological and innovative initiatives. The growth of joint research projects exceeded 7.5 thousand publications last year. The leading position of the two countries in terms of the number of patent applications confirms the great potential of the partnership.
The volume of trade turnover between Russia and China in the field of intellectual property (IP) exceeded $ 800 million in 2024. The active participation of the Republic of Tatarstan in this work confirms the importance of the region as a center of scientific, technical and innovative cooperation with China.
During the discussion "Prospects for international partnership for intellectual property, science and innovation management", issues of bilateral cooperation in IP, including the exchange of experience, were discussed. Approaches to develop the IP infrastructure and support innovative small and medium-sized businesses have been worked out.
The panelists discussed the expansion of the range of public services for IP protection and the creation of new tools.
Copyright protection in the context of the development of AI has become an important topic. The discussion resulted in a decision to develop cooperation within existing and new digital platforms.
Within the framework of the forum "REBUS 2025: Digitalization. Infrastructure", also taking place within the walls of the Kazan Expo IEC, during a discussion on attracting investments in the digitalization of construction and urban infrastructure, participants discussed approaches and mechanisms to ensure investment attractiveness, the timing of repayment of investments in digital solutions and the effect of digitalization for both business and the state.
The event discussed the technical, legal and financial aspects of project implementation, including attracting private investment in public infrastructure digitalization projects and more.
It was noted that overcoming the constraints requires an integrated approach, including improving the regulatory framework, creating economic incentives, developing educational programs and forming a unified digital ecosystem of the industry.
