After the launch of the special economic zone "Green Valley", five main investors plan to operate in it. All projects of the anchor residents of the SEZ will be implemented in the field of biotechnology, which will create a specialized cluster in Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan has been designated as the authorized body for concluding agreements with residents of the Green Valley SEZ and monitoring their activities.
The projects of the new SEZ, located in the Zainsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, are aimed at the development of biotechnologies and include various areas: from deep processing of industrial crops, such as flax, to the production of biofertilizers, sorbents and biologically active additives.
One of the priority areas will be the production of modified flax fiber, which is in high demand in the chemical industry and in the manufacture of specialized paint coatings.
Currently, the volume of production of these products in Russia is insignificant. It is planned to create a production cycle in the Green Valley SEZ — from primary processing of raw materials to obtaining the final product. It will be carried out by several resident companies, forming a single production line in the territory of the special economic zone.
The agreement on the creation of the SEZ "Green Valley" was signed by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Government of Tatarstan, the Executive Committee of the Zainsky district and the management company Alabuga-2. Petrochemistry". The relevant resolution was previously approved by the Russian Government. The total volume of planned investments is more than 15 billion rubles.
