In six months, the number of sellers in Tatarstan's online commerce has increased by more than 6%

According to the results of the first half of 2025, the number of online sellers in Tatarstan increased by more than 6% compared to the same period of the previous year. The total number of sellers exceeded 71 thousand. 

According to the Association of Online Commerce Companies (AKIT), Tatarstan residents spent the most on food in the first half of 2025. This is followed by the category "Furniture and household goods", "Digital and household appliances", "Clothing and shoes", and the category "Digital goods" closes the top five.

Let us recall that by the end of 2024, the number of Tatarstan online sellers selling their products on marketplaces increased by almost 13% and amounted to about 68 thousand.

In total, from the end of 2019 to 2024, the number of sellers on marketplaces from Tatarstan increased 212 times, and the annual turnover, according to expert estimates, increased 265 times — from 290 million rubles to more than 80 billion rubles. On average, the annual revenue of each Tatarstan seller in 2024 amounted to about 1.2 million rubles.

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, with its subordinate development institutions, provides assistance to entrepreneurs and the self-employed of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of online commerce under the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".

The e-commerce support unit, implemented in the republic from 2023 to 2025, includes events for SMEs and self-employed citizens to hold forums, conferences on logistics and e-commerce, expand cooperation with international electronic platforms, expand the geography of product reception points, as well as organize interaction with logistics companies.
