The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan discussed the development of partnership financing
The meeting was held on July 14 via videoconference under the chairmanship of Anatoly Aksakov, Head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, representatives of the Central Bank of Russia and the Association of Banks of Russia, the clergy of the Republic of Tatarstan, participants in the experiment, as well as experts in the field of partner financing.
On the agenda of the meeting, the speakers discussed issues of standardization of partner financing activities.
"It is important to ensure the rapid implementation of standards in order to create a transparent and reliable regulatory system," said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Tatarstan.
The meeting also discussed issues of further market development, including the implementation of federal measures to develop partner finance. Midkhat Shagiakhmetov stressed that the Republic of Tatarstan is ready to actively participate in the work.
It should be recalled that since September 1, 2023, an experiment on the introduction of partner (Islamic) financing has been launched in Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Dagestan and Chechnya. Since the launch of the experiment on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, in accordance with Federal Law No. 417 of August 4, 2023, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan has been coordinating work on partner banking.
