The number of self-employed people in Tatarstan has exceeded 400,000

The number of self-employed citizens is growing in Tatarstan. Since the beginning of the year, in the period from January to July 2025, the number of citizens using the professional income tax has increased by almost 13% and exceeded 400 thousand people. 

Compared to the same period in 2024, the growth in the number of self-employed exceeded the 60,000 mark and increased by 18%. Since the beginning of the special tax regime, Tatarstan's self-employed have generated over 146 million checks, received about 240 billion rubles in total revenue, and the total amount of taxes paid amounted to 8.8 billion rubles.

The most popular destinations among the self-employed are repairs and construction, transportation and information services, as well as self-made products and apartment rentals.

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with subordinate support institutions, provides the self-employed with various government support measures, including state guarantees, participation in fairs and assistance in launching products on marketplaces. The support is provided under the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
