In the first quarter of 2025, state-owned companies increased the volume of purchases of goods and services from small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to 1.8 trillion rubles. Tatarstan was among the leaders in terms of trade turnover between the public sector and SMEs.

This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov, summing up the results of the government commission on business development, which was chaired by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the Lomonosov Innovation Cluster.

Regionally, Tatarstan ranked second in terms of purchases by state-owned companies from SMEs, reaching 172.5 billion rubles. Moscow became the leader (511.8 billion rubles), and St. Petersburg (170.6 billion rubles) took the third place.

Software products, computer equipment, and architectural services are in the highest demand in the public sector.

"Expanding the access of small technology companies to the procurement of the largest state-owned companies, including through the "cultivation" program, will ensure the qualitative development of the SME segment," said Alexander Isaevich, CEO of SME Corporation.

Manufacturing (680.9 billion rubles) and construction (440.9 billion rubles) are the leaders among the industries where state-owned companies actively cooperate with SMEs.
