217 settlements from 43 regions take part in the competition.
217 rural settlements from 43 Tatarstan regions competed for the grants. According to the press service of Tatarstan Economy Ministry, 104 winners will receive 1 million rubles from the budget.
The settlements were assessed based on local self-government efficiency indicators: natural population increase, tax and non-tax revenue per capita, small and medium businesses per hundred citizens, bovine cattle population, new housing construction per capita, the share of hard coating roads, crime rate per hundred citizens.
The amount of grants per region was decided based on the rural population - two grants for the rural population below 22,000 people and three grants for regions exceeding this threshold.
Grants may be used for social infrastructure, beautification, sustainment venues or other socially important issues.
As part of the program, the Minister visited the Arsky Industrial Park, where he got acquainted with the current activities and long-term plans of the residents. During the inspection of the production facilities, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a substantive discussion with the heads of enterprises on capacity expansion and improving the efficiency of using the existing infrastructure.
Applications for the Start-Digital Technologies-1 competition (turn 2) are being accepted on the website of the Innovation Promotion Foundation until February 24. Individuals and legal entities, small business entities, can participate in it.
Rustem Mukhamedshin, Director of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in a large–scale event - the strategic session of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan, which took place on January 30, 2026 in Kazan at the Entrepreneur's House.
