The number of business entities is growing in Tatarstan

Over the past year and the first quarter of 2025, Tatarstan has seen an increase in the number of participants in small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). According to the results of the first quarter, the number of business entities in the republic increased by 1.8%.

Small and medium-sized businesses are the fundamental basis of the socio-economic development of the republic. The issues of small business development are under constant control of the Operational Headquarters under the leadership of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan,Rustam Minnikhanov. 

Thanks to the implementation of a set of financial and non-financial support measures, including within the framework of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy", a total of 16 billion rubles were provided in the first quarter of 2025. These measures ensured the attraction of investments to expand the production of small and medium-sized businesses. 

Also, in the 1st quarter of 2025, the number of SMEs in Tatarstan increased by 1.8% and exceeded 181 thousand entrepreneurs, retaining the republic's first place in the Volga Federal District. There is growth in priority sectors of the economy, such as manufacturing, scientific and technical activities, construction, logistics, as well as catering and hospitality.

Despite the ongoing restrictions and ongoing sanctions pressure, enterprises and organizations in the republic have managed to rebuild logistics and sales markets, maintain investment activity and increase production. Under these conditions, government preferential business support is becoming more in demand among enterprises in the republic. 

The Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan implements preferential microfinance support at rates from 1 to 9.5% for priority industries and categories, including within the framework of partner financial programs.
