The Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan discussed product labeling issues
Today, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the working group on ensuring the sustainable development of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies, the Office of Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic, the Union of Textile and Light Industry Entrepreneurs of the Republic, ministries, departments and municipalities.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov. The main topic of the meeting was the labeling of light industry goods.
They discussed issues related to mandatory labeling of light industry goods, including the stages of labeling, the sequence of actions for working in the labeling system for light industry goods, existing support programs for small businesses in labeling light industry goods, ready-made labeling solutions for businesses (including the free EDO Light electronic document management service, software Marking.Simple, the mobile app is an Honest SIGN.Business).
The meeting participants stressed the importance of labeling as a tool to protect citizens from counterfeit and unsafe products. Further implementation of labeling of light industry goods in the republic has been taken over by the working group of the Republic's Operational Headquarters.
