More than 2.1 billion rubles of state support were received by entrepreneurs of the tourism sector in Tatarstan for national projects

More than 38 billion rubles were attracted by SMEs in the tourism sector in 2024 thanks to state support, of which 2.1 billion rubles were received by the tourism business of Tatarstan. In Russia, the activities of the national projects "Efficient and Competitive Economy" and "Tourism and Hospitality" are aimed at the development of the tourism industry.

Among the regions of the country, Moscow, Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Tatarstan became the leaders in terms of SME support in the field of tourism, where local SMEs received 6.13 billion rubles, 2.46 billion rubles and 2.14 billion rubles, respectively. The support was provided with the involvement of the mechanisms of participants in the National Guarantee System (NGS), created on the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, operated by the SME Corporation. 

In total, more than 4,6 thousand Russian small and medium-sized business companies in the tourism sector benefited from financial support. This is twice as much as in 2023. In Tatarstan, more than 130 entrepreneurs have become recipients of preferential financing. In the republic, as well as in the country, there was a twofold increase compared to last year. 

"A wide range of tools are working to develop tourism in Russia. This includes the national project "Tourism and Hospitality", tourist SEZs, and IPPA . There are solutions within the framework of the national SME development project. Last year alone, more than 4,500 companies were supported. This is twice as much as in 2023. The business has attracted more than 38 billion rubles on preferential terms for the construction and expansion of hotels, restaurants, cafes and travel infrastructure. In particular, thanks to the mechanism of "umbrella" guarantees, under which a separate limit was allocated for the support of the tourism sector," said the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov.

The largest amount of financial support received in 2024 under the NHS fell on restaurants and cafes, as well as hotel activities. SMEs in these areas raised 15.4 and 12.4 billion rubles, respectively. The number of recipients is 2,4 thousand and 654 (+91% and 76%, respectively).

"Small and medium-sized businesses quickly responded to the increased demand for domestic holidays and actively participated in the creation and development of tourism infrastructure. In 2024, SMEs in the tourism sector raised 17.6 billion rubles under "umbrella" guarantees. This is 40% more than a year earlier. At the same time, the number of recipients of financial support with umbrella guarantees increased 2.5 times and exceeded 2.35 thousand entrepreneurs," said Alexander Isaevich, CEO of SME Corporation.
