By the end of 2024, small and medium-sized businesses from the tourism industry attracted 3.1 billion rubles for the development of entrepreneurial activities with the help of SME Bank, a subsidiary of SME Corporation. This is almost twice as much as at the end of 2023. Among the leading regions in terms of attracted financing are Moscow (about 1.4 billion rubles), the Republic of Tatarstan (507 million rubles), the Samara Region (176 million rubles), and the Sverdlovsk Region (172 million rubles).

"The development of domestic tourism is impossible without the participation of small and medium-sized businesses. Today, users of the SME.RF digital platform has more than 70 measures of financial and non-financial support for this industry at the federal and regional levels. One of the most sought-after financial development mechanisms is umbrella guarantees for SME companies specializing in the construction and modernization of hotels. This mechanism simplifies the procedure for obtaining a bank loan, as the Corporation assumes some of the risks," commented Alexander Isaevich, CEO of SME Corporation, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SME Bank.

"The Bank's line of SME loans includes both programs for large investment projects for large amounts, and express loans for situations where money is needed "at the moment," for example, during the peak tourist season. Our task is to fully cover the needs of business from the tourism industry in debt financing, based on the specifics of this area. That is why last year we focused on the development of digital application and scoring services. Now the application is undergoing automated analysis and the entrepreneur is offered the most advantageous option according to the terms, which allowed to increase not only the volume of disbursements, but also the number of recipients of support," said Ivan Podbereznyak, Chairman of the Management Board of SME Bank.

The largest number of tourism projects, which are implemented with the support of SME Bank, are related to the construction and reconstruction of hotels, the development of the restaurant business, and also relate to the organization of sports and leisure activities.
