Launch of new production lines: Midkhat Shagiakhmetov took part in the launch of the modernized production of the RGK company in Kazan
On March 14, 2025, as part of a meeting of the Board of Directors of Kazanorgsintez, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov participated in the launch of a modernized pipe production facility located inside the SIBUR industrial site in Kazan.
At the end of 2023, Kazanorgsintez sold this plant to the relevant owner on the condition of developing the asset and preserving the team.
RGK has completed the first stage of modernization of pipe production, in which about 1 billion rubles were invested with the support of VTB Bank (PJSC) and the Industrial Development Fund. Among the achievements is the launch of a production line for multilayer polymer pipes with a diameter of up to 1.6 meters and unique spiral pipes with a diameter of up to 2.4 meters with increased strength.
SIBUR has mastered the production of import-substituting grades of block copolymers and non-ferrous grades of RC PE, which are used in the manufacture of these pipes. The solution will increase the reliability of housing and communal services networks by increasing the service life of pipes to 100 years (compared to metal ones), reduce the frequency of repairs and operating costs, and increase the environmental sustainability of infrastructure.
The Minister was familiarized with the latest equipment that allows the production of products for various industries, including gas and water supply. During the visit, the company's successes in technological development and its contribution to the region's economy were noted.
