Tatarstan has become one of the leading regions in terms of business lending with the involvement of the mechanism of "umbrella" guarantees

Since its launch in 2021, the umbrella guarantee mechanism has helped small and medium-sized businesses in the country to attract financing totaling more than 890 billion rubles. In Tatarstan, the amount of support received is 22 billion rubles.

More than 90 thousand loans have been issued using the instrument in the Russian Federation. At the same time, every 3rd person would not be able to receive funding without this support.

"About 33% of the total volume is accounted for by SMEs operating in supply–side industries, which allow us to increase the supply of products and services necessary for our country," said Alexander Isaevich, CEO of SME Corporation.

Thus, manufacturing industries with the help of "umbrella" guarantees received financing in the amount of more than 205 billion rubles, companies engaged in scientific and technical activities - more than 33 billion rubles, IT companies – about 32 billion rubles, hotels and catering - more than 22 billion rubles.

The largest volume of loans with "umbrella" guarantees was attracted by entrepreneurs in Moscow – 189 billion rubles, St. Petersburg - 64 billion rubles and the Moscow region – 50 billion rubles.

The Krasnodar Territory is also the leader in this indicator - 39 billion rubles; Sverdlovsk and Novosibirsk regions – 32 and 26 billion rubles, respectively; the Republic of Tatarstan – 22 billion rubles; Rostov, Voronezh and Nizhny Novgorod regions – 22; 20 and 20 billion rubles, respectively; Perm Krai, Samara Region and Krasnoyarsk Territory 19 billion rubles in each region.

Alexander Isaevich noted the possibility of setting up "umbrella" guarantees according to territorial or sectoral priorities. "This tool allows you to direct support to where it is especially needed. Special limits of "umbrella" guarantees with an increased level of risk coverage are valid for border regions, new regions, Crimea and Sevastopol," he added.

Umbrella guarantees provide up to 50% of the loan amount and can reach 1 billion rubles with a loan term of up to 15 years. Entrepreneurs can receive financing for investment purposes, replenishment of working capital, business development and for solving other tasks.
