Roman Amirkhanov spoke about the tools for the development of partner financing at the forum in Dagestan

Roman Amirkhanov, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Head of the Department of Socio–Economic Monitoring, spoke at the section "Partner Financing - a tool for developing the financial market of the participating regions" within the framework of the forum "Economy of Dagestan: potential and vector of Development". 

The speaker shared the accumulated experience of implementing the experiment in the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to him, work in the field of partner (Islamic) finance in the Republic of Tatarstan has been conducted for more than 15 years, successful experience has been accumulated in the implementation of individual projects based on the principles of Islamic finance. The adoption of Federal Law No. 417 on conducting an experiment on partner finance has significantly increased activity in this market. 

For the convenience of market participants, a digital investment platform is now actively developing in the Republic of Tatarstan – a project implemented jointly by As Salam Group of Companies and Status JSC.  It is a platform for raising funds from individuals and legal entities and investing them in halal projects. 

In addition, the Republic has experience in issuing sukuk within the framework of Russian legislation. The issue of sukuk by Russian issuers is an important area for the development of the partner finance market and, first of all, for attracting capital from Islamic countries.
