Employment of small and medium-sized businesses in Tatarstan increased by 15 thousand people

The number of entrepreneurs and citizens engaged in business is growing in Tatarstan. So, in August, compared to July 2024, the number of entrepreneurs increased by 101.6% or 2.7 thousand units and amounted to 171.5 thousand subjects.

"Positive dynamics is also noted in the number of people employed by businesses. Today, their number is 769.3 thousand people. The growth by the beginning of the year was 102.0% or 14.9 thousand people," said First Deputy Minister of Economy Natalia Kondratova.

According to her, the growth of economic activity is due to a comprehensive system of federal and republican support measures, implemented, among other things, within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" and aimed at expanding production and implementing new investment projects. Thus, the volume of financial support for entrepreneurs of the republic in 2024 exceeded 55 billion rubles.

In Tatarstan, the Entrepreneurship Support Fund provides micro-loans to businesses mainly in the manufacturing sector on preferential terms of 4.5% per annum. Loans are provided for up to 3 years in the amount of up to 5 million rubles. Special attention is paid in the republic to support start-up entrepreneurs - for them the rate starts from 4.5%. The Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan provides guarantees in case of a lack of collateral in the amount of up to 70% of the loan amount at a reduced rate of 0.5%. Preferential support is provided to businesses within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Enterprises".
