First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Natalia Kondratova held a meeting of the working group on ensuring sustainable development of the region's economy. The participants of the working group discussed the achievement of business development targets in the republic, as well as support for export-oriented enterprises.

The Deputy minister said that the number of SMEs in the republic as of August 10, 2024 is 171.5 thousand. The growth compared to the previous month is 101.6% or 2.7 thousand entrepreneurs, compared to the same period last year — 105.2% or 8.4 thousand. The number of employees in SMEs is 769.3 thousand people. The growth by the beginning of the year is 102.0% or 14.9 thousand people.

The performance indicators of small and medium-sized businesses and their dynamics in the field were considered - the number of employed, the share of economically active self-employed and other indicators. Natalia Kondratova noted the positive results of comprehensive work to create conditions for entrepreneurial activity and recommended that special attention be paid to the growth reserves of these indicators. 

The meeting also focused on measures to support export-oriented companies in the republic. It was noted that the Export Support Center subordinate to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan is operating in Tatarstan. The Center provides support to small and medium-sized businesses at all stages of an export transaction: from basic consultations on foreign economic activity and training to finding a partner, organizing the participation of SMEs in business missions and international exhibitions, both in Russia and abroad. Entrepreneurs also have access to services for bringing products in line with mandatory requirements (standardization, certification, necessary permits) and ensuring the protection of intellectual property abroad, including obtaining patents.

It should be recalled that the support of manufacturers who are conducting or planning to start work in foreign markets is provided by the My Business Center and the Export Support Center with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Enterprises".
