The acceptance of applications from young scientists for grant support in the amount of 1 million rubles has started
The Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation announces the start of the selection of projects for the UMNIK-Photonics-2024 competition within the framework of the program "Participant of the youth scientific and innovative competition".
The UMNIK-Photonics 2024 competition is aimed at supporting projects of young scientists in the field of photonics, radiophotonics and optoelectronics, as well as encouraging young scientists and specialists to create small innovative enterprises necessary for the commercialization of scientific research results.
The competition is aimed at selecting projects in the following areas:
1. Materials for the production of photonics and optoelectronics products;
2. Element base for photonics and optoelectronics;
3. Fiber and integrated optical sensors and means of measuring and monitoring physical parameters (except motion parameters);
4. Fiber and integrated optical sensors of motion control systems, including for unmanned aircraft systems;
5. Technological equipment for the production of elements and devices of fiber and integrated optics, optoelectronics;
6. Agrobiophotonics devices.
After the selection, the best projects will receive a grant of 1 million rubles. The amount of funds provided to the recipient of the grant is 800 thousand rubles, to the scientific supervisor - 200 thousand rubles.
The Competition is open to applicants – individuals who are citizens of the Russian Federation, who have not previously won competitive selections under the UMNIK program, and who are between the ages of 18 and 35 years old at the time of application submission.

Applications for the UMNIK-Photonics-2024 contest are accepted from August 5, 2024 to 10:00 (Moscow time) on September 16, 2024.
