Today, Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, solemnly opened the third stage of the logistics complex on the territory of the Zelenodolsk Industrial Park. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.
Let us recall that the developer Romex has commissioned the third stage of the logistics complex in the territory of the Zelenodolsk industrial Park to the Ozon marketplace. The operations were launched by the Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Managing Director of Ozon Sergey Belyakov, head of Zelenodolsk district Mikhail Afanasyev, President of Romex Group Alexey Prokopenko.
It was also announced plans to open another fulfillment center in the region with a total area of 85 thousand square meters.
Let us recall that the warehouse complex in Zelenodolsk has been operating since 2020 and carries out a full cycle of online order processing - from receiving sellers' goods to forming parcels.
As a result of the expansion, the area of the logistics center has increased, and today the logistics hub is able to simultaneously accommodate up to 17 million goods of different categories, and its processing capacity has increased by about 80%.
With the launch of the working capacity of the third stage of the warehouse, customers will be able to receive up to 620 thousand goods per day from Zelenodolsk.
"Today we are opening the third stage and at the same time we are launching the construction of the fourth stage of the Ozon logistics complex in Zelenodolsk. I thank our partner, Romex–Kuban, which has already invested 12 billion rubles in the implementation of projects in the republic. I express my gratitude to the State Corporation for the Development of VEB.RF for its support in the development of e-commerce," said Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan.
"The e-commerce implementation program is aimed not only at providing high-quality services to Tatarstan residents, but it is primarily an opportunity for Tatarstan sales enterprises to enter the market. Thanks to these opportunities, in 4 years the number of sales companies has grown from 321 to 60 thousand, and their annual turnover has increased from 290 million to 60 billion rubles. I emphasize that this is both the quality of customer service and new jobs," Rustam Minnikhanov said further.
Chief Managing Partner for Urban Development "VEB.RF" Irina Makieva (via videoconference) expressed her joy that Ozon is developing in the region. She also stressed: "VEB.RF is glad to have each project and is ready to provide maximum support.
Sergey Belyakov, Managing Director of Ozon, noted that his company appreciates the progressive approach of the region to the development of entrepreneurship and therefore develops infrastructure in Tatarstan. Today, the number of sellers and owners of pick-up points in the region is growing at a good pace.
On the day of the launch of the facility, the Romex group of companies and Ozon also announced the start of construction of another fulfillment center in Zelenodolsk district with a total area of 85 thousand square meters. The new warehouse complex will be located in the Tura 2.0 Industrial Park. The start of operations is scheduled for the end of 2026, and the logistics hub will reach full capacity in 2027. The facility will be built according to the build to suit format – developer Romex is building a building according to Ozon's technical specifications and transferring it to the marketplace for long-term lease.
