A quarter of the republic's GRP is the contribution of small and medium–sized enterprises. This was stated by the Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with the business community within the framework of the visiting meeting of the State Duma Committee on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. The meeting was held at the Iskra-Volga Technopark in Zelenodolsk and was timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship.
Before the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the activities of the resident enterprises of the technopark. These include the production of high-voltage cable fittings by JSC "SKAT", the Iskra-Volga test center, the production of intelligent metering devices by LLC "Promenergo" and the manufacturer of lighting equipment of the architectural solution "Aruna". The Head of the Republic also visited the exhibition of Tatarstan manufacturers.
Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that Tatarstan is one of the industrial centers of Russia. According to the results of last year, GRP amounted to 4.32 trillion rubles, the volume of investments in fixed assets amounted to 1 trillion 180 billion rubles.
"Today there are about 178 thousand entrepreneurs in the republic. 875 thousand people or 42% of all employed in the economy are employed in this area. This sector is the basis for sustainable economic and social growth," the Head of RT emphasized.
He noted that today the business sector is operating under unprecedented sanctions pressure. The main task is to ensure technological sovereignty and import substitution.
"The national projects implemented in the country are of crucial importance for the economy and the social sphere, improving the quality of life of people. Among them is the project "Small and medium–sized entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative". Our task within the framework of the project is to create favorable conditions for the implementation of business ideas and potential," said the Head of the Republic.
He said that there is an Operational headquarters in Tatarstan to ensure socio-economic stability. A program has been adopted to improve the business climate for 2024. Special attention is paid in the republic to financial support for entrepreneurs and the self-employed. A lot of work is being done in the information field, the training of effective businessmen through various educational projects, and the development of electronic commerce. Over the past 4 years, the number of Tatarstan sellers on marketplaces has increased many times and now stands at 63 thousand units.
"We have created a powerful infrastructure: SEZs, industrial parks, business parks and technoparks. There are 102 infrastructure facilities in total, where 1,660 residents operate and over 67 thousand jobs have been created. A lot of work is underway to fill industrial parks - today this figure reaches 74%," said Rustam Minnikhanov.
The Head of the Republic noted that meetings with entrepreneurs are really very useful and informative, as they allow us to identify many problems that hinder business development. "It is important to support entrepreneurs. Since they not only provide for themselves, but also create new jobs," Rustam Minnikhanov added and congratulated entrepreneurs on the upcoming professional holiday.
During the meeting, representatives of the business community asked questions about reducing the requirements for obtaining preferential loans by high-tech companies; about simplifying the procedure for obtaining the status of a manufacturer with a long technological cycle; about increasing the maximum amount of microloans; about introducing a mechanism for reimbursing part of the costs of protecting intellectual property objects outside the Russian Federation; about using partner financing for business. Issues of support for industrial sites were discussed separately, including the resumption of construction of industrial park infrastructure through the Ministry of Economic Development, the expansion of the industrial mortgage program to management companies and developers of industrial parks, and a number of other topical issues.
