Tatarstan has seen a threefold increase in the issuance of preferential microloans for small and medium-sized businesses

In the first quarter of 2024, the My Business center of the Entrepreneurship Support Fund subordinate to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan issued 259 microloans to small and medium-sized businesses in the amount of 657 million rubles, which is three times more than in the same period last year.

Financial support for concessional financing is available to businesses and self-employed citizens within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Enterprises". In the first months of 2024, there was a significant increase in demand among entrepreneurs and the self-employed for the services of the Entrepreneurship Support Fund. So, in the first quarter of 2024, 259 microloans were issued to entrepreneurs in the amount of 657 million rubles, which is 137% higher than the same period last year in terms of the number and 304% in terms of the amount of support provided.

The leaders of the support are enterprises in the manufacturing sector, transport organizations, wholesale and retail trade, etc. 

Thanks to state support, entrepreneurs can get microloans on favorable terms - an interest rate from 0.1% to the key rate of the Bank of Russia, an amount of up to 5 million rubles for any business purposes. Currently, there are 8 preferential microfinance products for entrepreneurs of the republic, designed for different categories and the degree of maturity of the business.

"Financial support measures implemented within the framework of the national project have provided investments in expanding the production of small and medium-sized businesses," said the First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan – Director of the Department of Business Development Natalia Kondratova.
