The Tatarstan International Forum on Energy and Energy Resource Efficiency is taking place in Kazan Expo from April 3 to 5. It is attended by representatives of 17 regions of Russia, 3 cities of federal significance and foreign countries – these are the largest equipment manufacturers and suppliers, energy corporations and holdings, energy system enterprises, modern engineering companies, representatives of the deputy corps, federal executive authorities, regional ministries, scientific and educational spheres from Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Brazil.
The Forum was officially opened by the Head of RT Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Pavel Snikkars, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Belarus Denis Moroz, Deputy Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Talaibek Baigaziev, First Deputy Minister of Energy, Director of the Agency for the Development of Atomic Energy of Uzbekistan Azim Akhmedhajaev, as well as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Electric Power Council Taras Kupchikov.
The Head of Tatarstan stressed that the development of energy and energy efficiency is one of the priorities for the republic.
"Active work is underway in the republic to modernize production facilities through the introduction of modern technologies and equipment, projects are being implemented to expand the use of gas engine fuel and the development of electric charging infrastructure. We are ready to share our accumulated experience, and we are open to dialogue and collaboration in this area. I am sure that the forum site will become an effective tool for continuing mutually beneficial cooperation, establishing new business contacts, and joining forces for the successful implementation of planned projects," Rustam Minnikhanov said.
With the participation of the Head of Tatarstan, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan was held on the implementation of the state program "Energy Resource Efficiency in the Republic of Tatarstan" in 2023 and tasks for 2024.
In addition, a number of agreements were signed today in the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov. Kazan State Energy University and JSC "KAMA" have agreed to launch Russia's first laboratory for testing charging stations and electric cars. In addition, Kazan State Energy University will cooperate more actively with Gomel State Technical University named after P.O. Sukhoi (Republic of Belarus).
